Brazilian model and cosplayer Kine-Chan had dressed as Rebecca, a character from the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (2022), for an event. Her outfit consisted of a black bikini, a blue wig, and black sandals. Following the event, she headed to Navegantes Airport in Brazil to catch a flight. However, she claimed she was stopped from boarding because her clothing was deemed “inappropriate.”

Kine-Chan took to Instagram to share her experience, explaining why she had chosen the revealing outfit. “A very annoying situation happened this weekend,” she wrote. “I tried to board at Navegantes airport dressed in Rebecca’s cosplay for an event. I was running late, so I decided to stay in costume to save time and go straight to my room upon arrival. But I was told to return home and change clothes because what I was wearing wasn’t ‘appropriate.’”

Her post quickly garnered attention, with fans offering mixed opinions in the comments. Some felt her outfit choice was too revealing for air travel. One user commented, “Kine, I love your work, but you could have worn something simple to cover up, like a loose dress or a button-up shirt.”
Others came to her defense, expressing disappointment in the airport’s decision. “It’s disheartening to hear that you, a talented artist, were barred from boarding due to your cosplay,” a supporter wrote. “Freedom of expression and creativity should always be respected.”
Traveling by air often brings its own challenges, and dress codes can be a point of contention. Kine-Chan’s experience has sparked an ongoing discussion about the balance between personal expression and public norms, with opinions continuing to divide.
