Human skull discovered in David Attenborough’s garden helps solve 131-year-old murder

A discovery in the garden of David has helped authorities close a murder case that had remained unsolved for more than a century.

The remains, identified as a human skull, were uncovered during routine work at the broadcaster’s London property. What initially appeared to be an archaeological curiosity soon turned into a significant forensic breakthrough.

Experts determined the skull dated back to the late 19th century, prompting police and historians to re-examine a long-forgotten missing persons case from the same area. Records showed a man had vanished under suspicious circumstances in 1893, with no body ever recovered.
