For years, fans speculated about the strange distance between 50 Cent and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Now, as federal investigations and civil lawsuits pile up around Diddy, 50’s cryptic caution is making headlines again—because he’s finally said out loud what many suspected all along.
“I never hung out with him,” 50 said in a resurfaced interview now going viral. “I saw what was going on. I didn’t want no parts of that.”
The clip, originally posted on The Breakfast Club’s YouTube channel, has resurfaced with over 6 million views in the past 48 hours after being reshared on X. In it, 50 all but confirms that he intentionally kept his distance from Diddy for reasons “any street guy would understand.”
“You could smell it,” he says in the video. “There was something off.”
The comments land differently now, as Diddy faces mounting legal and public scrutiny. With lawsuits alleging sexual assault, trafficking, coercion, and drugging, the empire built around the Bad Boy founder appears to be crumbling. And for 50, the warnings were never subtle.
“I watched the circles he moved in,” 50 tweeted in a now-deleted post captured by HipHopDX. “It was never about business. It was something darker.”
Since the lawsuits exploded, 50 Cent has been unusually vocal, using his platform to mock, warn, and indirectly indict Diddy on his Instagram feed, where he’s been sharing cryptic photos and sarcastic captions that leave little to the imagination.
One post features Diddy next to Harvey Weinstein, with the caption: “This is what the club looked like back then.”
Another, shared by @50centcentral, shows a clip of 50 laughing and saying, “I told y’all.” It’s been retweeted nearly 40,000 times.
Fans are now praising him for what they call “premonition-level avoidance.”
“You gotta respect 50,” wrote one commenter. “He saw the devil’s house and didn’t knock.”
But it wasn’t just a matter of gut feeling. In a 2014 radio interview with Hot 97, 50 hinted that “certain parties” in the industry made him uncomfortable. “There’s stuff people pretend they didn’t see,” he said. “But I saw it.”
Now that Diddy’s legal drama is no longer behind closed doors, the meaning of those old interviews has shifted completely.
“He was always trying to invite me out,” 50 recalled in a resurfaced VladTV clip. “But I had other things going on.”

Meanwhile, social media continues to unearth old moments of tension between the two. A 2011 clip from the BET Awards shows 50 refusing a handshake from Diddy on camera. The footage now has a new caption: “He knew.”
And still, 50 Cent isn’t gloating.
When asked about the allegations during a recent Power 106 interview, he kept it blunt: “I said what I said. And I don’t regret it.”
Because for him, survival in the music industry has always meant more than money or fame.
It meant reading the room—and walking out before the walls collapsed.
