Kourtney Kardashian Declares Herself an Auto***ual

Kourtney Kardashian has made headlines again after revealing her autosexual identity in a widely discussed blog post.

The entrepreneur and reality TV icon, known for stirring conversations with her daring social media posts and personal revelations, has now surprised fans with a bold admission about her sexual orientation, leading to a mix of curiosity and criticism from followers.

The star of The Kardashians made her announcement through her wellness platform, Poosh. She opened up about the concept of autosexuality, which refers to being aroused by one’s own eroticism. Kardashian explained, “Are you autosexual? The short answer is yes, most likely. In fact, we all are, at least a little.”

This statement has sparked a wave of online debate, with many questioning and critiquing the term. Some social media users expressed confusion, with comments ranging from, “What the heck is that?” to more critical observations like, “That sounds pretty self-obsessed.” Another user even joked, “She must love cars.”

Kardashian, however, elaborated further in her blog post, emphasizing the depth of the term. Referencing insights from therapist and QueerSexTherapy founder Casey Tanner, she described autosexuality as a tendency where an individual feels aroused through their own sensual experience rather than external sources.

She clarified this perspective by saying, “Women, in particular, often feel more sexually confident and stimulated when they perceive themselves as attractive or sexy. However, it’s not limited to just women. Men can experience similar feelings of desire towards their own appearance or sensations.”

She continued, “While self-pleasure is the most common example, it goes deeper. Autosexuality might involve being turned on simply by admiring oneself in a mirror, caressing one’s own skin, or even taking delight in personal sensual rituals like soaking in a warm bath or dressing up for one’s own satisfaction.”

Her perspective has sparked mixed reactions among her fans. Some have embraced the concept as a step toward broader sexual expression, while others remain skeptical. Dictionary.com defines ‘autosexual’ as having a sexual attraction primarily towards oneself, often with a preference for self-pleasure over shared intimacy. Kardashian also touched on the related term ‘autoromantic,’ which involves experiencing romantic feelings towards oneself.

Relationship expert Alex Bert, a dating coach with over a decade of experience, weighed in on the topic, providing further insight into the autosexual identity. He noted, “Autosexuality is an emerging concept that involves experiencing primary sexual attraction towards oneself rather than external partners.”

Bert stressed that being autosexual doesn’t mean excluding shared intimacy entirely, adding, “Sexuality exists on a spectrum. You can identify as autosexual and still enjoy experiences with a partner. However, many who resonate with this identity often find empowerment and emotional freedom in embracing self-pleasure as a core part of their sexuality.”

Not all reactions have been supportive, however. Some followers have suggested Kardashian’s revelation was unsurprising, with one writing, “They’re all so obsessed with themselves. This honestly doesn’t come as a shock.”

The buzz surrounding Kardashian’s statement underscores the ongoing dialogue around evolving definitions of sexuality and self-love, igniting conversations about personal identity and self-discovery in the public eye.
