Six-Year-Old TikTok Sensation Joules Smith Passes Away

Joules Smith, a six-year-old TikTok star from the U.K., has tragically passed away, leaving her millions of fans heartbroken.

Known for her popular Dance with Joules videos on TikTok and Instagram, Joules captured hearts with her vibrant personality and love for dancing. Her father, Joe Smith, shared the devastating news of her passing on social media, expressing the profound loss felt by her family and followers.

A Heartbreaking Farewell

Joe’s emotional statement revealed that Joules passed away in the early hours of Monday, December 9, surrounded by her parents, Joe and Elisha.

“Unfortunately, in the early hours of Monday morning, our beautiful little dancing queen passed away in between me and Elisha in our bed,” he wrote.

He continued, “Joules has been an absolute inspiration to everyone, and I am so proud to be her dad, as is Elisha, her mum. We take so much comfort in knowing that she inspired and touched the lives of so many people from around the world.”

Fans Pay Tribute

Fans flooded social media with tributes to the young star, honoring her bright spirit and the joy she brought through her videos.

One fan wrote, “For once I don’t have any words, but may the beautiful Joules sleep easy and keep dancing.”

Another shared, “Heartbroken for you all and sending so much love. Joules will be in our hearts whenever we dance.”

“She was the most incredible young lady, and she will never be forgotten,” added another.

Battling DIPG

Earlier this year, Joules was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), an aggressive and inoperable brain tumor that primarily affects children between the ages of five and nine.

According to Nationwide Children’s, DIPG develops in the brainstem’s pons, a region responsible for critical functions like heartbeat, breathing, and balance. With around 300 children diagnosed annually, DIPG currently has no known cause or cure.

Spreading Awareness Through Dance

Despite her diagnosis, Joules used her Dance with Joules platform to spread awareness about DIPG and fundraise for research. Her videos, filled with joy and determination, inspired countless people and helped shine a light on the disease.

In the video announcing Joules’ passing, her father thanked the Royal Marsden Hospital team for their care and support. “They allowed us to have absolute happiness, laughing, joking, and the best holidays,” Joe shared.

A Celebration of Life

Joules’ funeral, set to take place later this month, is reportedly open to those who supported her journey. Her father encouraged everyone to honor her memory by continuing to dance in her name.

“She was the bravest, kindest, most beautiful little girl, and we miss her so much,” Joe said through tears. “Let’s carry on dancing for our beautiful little Joules because I know she’ll still be dancing. Just remember, it’s never goodbye. It’s just peace out.”

Joules Smith’s legacy of resilience, kindness, and joy will continue to inspire her family, fans, and everyone touched by her story.
