How do you play Sky Words?
Three moves take you from a set of loose letters to a full crossword grid.
Study your letters
Each level hands you a set of letter tiles. Look them over before you place — a couple of anchor words will open up the rest of the grid.
Place words to connect
Every word must share a letter with another. Build outward from your anchor word, using crossing tiles to seed the next word automatically.
Use bonus words
Spot a valid word using the same letters that isn’t on the grid? It banks as a bonus word. Fill the whole grid to clear the level and move to the next world.
Tips for tricky Sky Words levels
Five habits that shave time off the harder grids.
Place your longest word first. It uses the most tiles at once and leaves the most crossing spots for shorter words to attach to — the whole grid often builds out from there. Check any world in the World Directory to see which words anchor each level.
Look for shared letters before placing. A word ending in S placed vertically can simultaneously start a horizontal word — double intersections clear the board faster.
Use the world theme as a hint bank. A Mexico-themed world leans on Spanish-influenced vocabulary and geography — country names, local food, and culture clue what words the level expects. Browse the full Mexico world page to see the pattern.
Don’t ignore bonus words. Any real word made from your tiles earns extra points even if it’s not required — bonuses can refill your hints faster than saving them.
Stuck? Count remaining tiles. If the grid is nearly full, the missing word is probably built from the leftover tiles. Anagram those few first rather than restarting. Or jump to the exact level in the Level Browser and read the verified answer list.

How we verify every answer
Every Sky Words answer is sourced directly from verified game data and rebuilt each night. When Open My Game adds a world or updates a level, the archive updates within 24 hours. We validate each word list for length, spelling, and duplicates before it publishes — a nightly sweep re-checks all 8,000 levels so broken imports never sit unnoticed. Daily puzzle answers are pulled the moment each new puzzle goes live.

3 Tips for Sky Words
Read the tile set before you swipe
Every board hands you a fixed set of letters and each answer is built from it — letters can be reused, but nothing outside the set appears. Counting the tiles first rules out most of the dictionary and is faster than guessing.
Place the longest word, then fill in
Long answers consume the awkward consonants and leave a set that spells the short words out for you. Across all 8,000 levels this single habit separates fast players from slow ones.
Follow one world at a time
The game is grouped into 30 worlds and difficulty resets at the start of each, so playing a world through is easier than jumping between them. The daily board sits outside that curve entirely.
