Five shortcuts for when a picture clue leaves you stumped.
Check the letter count before guessing. Every level page shows each answer's exact length — matching the box count against your first instinct eliminates most wrong answers before you even try them. Click any level tile below to see the count in action.
Solve the shortest clue in the level first. A three- or four-letter answer fills almost instantly and scatters confirmed crossing letters across the grid — those locked tiles then make the eight-letter mystery clues self-solving. Browse the levels hub to find your pack.
Pack themes are a cheat code. Ann's Journey is built around a single geography theme per pack — knowing you are in the France pack means answers lean toward food, landmarks, art and language. The category alone cuts your candidate list in half before you type a letter.
Unusual letters narrow the field fast. If you suspect the answer contains a J, Q, X or Z, there are very few English words to choose from — start there and work outward. Repeated letters are an equally powerful filter; the level page tile analysis flags both.
Upgrade to Hard Mode once you finish this range. After clearing these levels, the Hard Mode archive offers larger grids with more crossing points — the extra tiles make long answers easier, not harder, once you know the technique.
The Endless Challenge begins at level 2,785 after completing Ann's Journey and continues with an open-ended sequence of puzzles. Levels 4,501–5,000 covers 500 levels from this mode.
