Strategy
Nonocross tips that work on every level.
Start with the biggest numbers. A clue close to the length of its row almost always fills some cells in the middle - start there before anything else.
Lines with a 0 are empty. Cross them out first so you never fill them by mistake later in the solve.
Use crosses as much as fills. Marking cells that must stay empty is just as useful as filling cells - it is often what unlocks the next row.
Work back and forth. Every cell you fill in a row gives you a starting point in its column. Do not guess - if you find yourself guessing, look for a row or column you have not checked yet.
Difficulty
Which Nonocross level is the hardest?
By our step count, the hardest level is Level 60 (10x10, Parakeets) with 19 logical steps and 38 cells left to reason out. The quickest is Level 1 (3x3) with just 3. Every level in between shows its own difficulty rating, so you can pick a warm-up or a real challenge.

Check the level number and the grid size first. If both match and the clues are still different, your game may have an updated puzzle, so please tell us and we will check it.
